I’m sure there’s a good reason why people no longer tap dance, but I can’t for the life of me imagine what it is.

I want a demonstration! Or better yet, a lesson!

I took tap dancing lessons when I was young but I found out it was harder than it looks.

Wouldn’t you love to go to shows like this? With a big band and dancing…

I read a quote once, something about Fred Astaire being an amazing dancer, but that Ginger Rodgers knew all the steps he did, backwards and in high heals.

A friend and I signed up for tap dancing lessons in the early 80’s while living in Milwaukee, WI. We drove to the south side of Milwaukee expecting to start at the beginning. Instead we were thrown into the middle of the session and taught by a short chubby young woman who rather than demonstrating the steps would just yell at us.
I think we lasted two maybe three weeks before calling it quits. Sometimes I wonder what ever became of the Nazi tap dance instuctor.

I use to take tap lessons when I was young. I have pictures even in my costumes. I guess now they are vintage. I will have to share them with you sometime. I loved tap dancing and I also have wondered why they don’t do it anymore. I guess Irish clogging is about as close as you get these days.
