Hello, Sparklers! To celebrate the release of our new historical romance collection, The Highlanders, I’m giving away this stunning Celtic cross necklace from 1928 Jewelry to one cherished reader.
Here’s how 1928’s catalog describes this gorgeous piece:
A cross created using four intertwined Celtic trinity knots (triquetra) is called a Carolingian Cross necklace. Used here, the pendant is looped in the classic lovely lines known to adorn the famous Book of Kells. Suspended from a rope style chain, this is a gorgeous way to represent your Faith.
- Made in USA
- Length: 16″ adjustable
It’s part of 1928’s Symbols of Faith Collection. “Symbols Of Faith is an inspirational line of faith oriented jewelry and gifts. The collection is proudly designed and made in the U.S.A. This inspirational collection offers pieces that are sure to uplift your spirit.”
If you’d like an opportunity to win this Celtic cross necklace, simply leave a comment below answering this question: What’s your favorite thing about Scottish culture? The tartans? The kilts? The bagpipes? The songs? Ewan McGregor? Haggis? 🙂
Simply name something you like (or think you would like) about Scottish culture and I’ll put your name in a drawing for the necklace. I’ll do the drawing in early December, in plenty of time for you to give it to someone as a Christmas gift, if you want to. Or just let it adorn your own swanlike neck as you cuddle up with the romantic stories in The Highlanders.
The bagpipes
It reminds me of my heritage.
Always loved Scottish accents, the kilts, and the history of the Highlanders. Could read Highlander romance stories (books) non stop if I was able. Thank you so much for the chance at the gorgeous Celtic necklace.
The accent.
My spouse is Scots Irish. I love the kilts, the food and the accents. We have Scottish Games week here in Central NY every fall

My favorite is The Bagpipes Thank you for the chance to win this beautiful necklace!
I love the old Scottish tunes (though I think it’s really because of those accents).
I love the heritage of having your own family’s tartan.
I love everything about Scottish culture. I just put the Trinity Knot tattoo on my left shoulder.
I enjoy the history and the beautiful castles they have there. Plus, it’s cool how each clan has their own plaid. Thanks for the chance to win!
Scotland has always fascinated me. I do not have a Scottish heritage, but love watching the Highland games each year. As a Colorado native, I can certainly respect the Scots daily effort to withstand the weather and actually thrive in it.
The music and history, hands down.
Love the tartans and the brogue . Part of my heritage!
I like the tartans.
I like the music .
The bag pipes is first but the plaids and the accents are close behind.
Would love to try haggis. But, I love the kilts, bagpipes and accents. Beautiful necklace.
I love a sexy man in a kilt
The bagpipes and the accent.
Being of Scottish descent (Lindsay) and marrying a man also of Scottish heritage (McPhie) I love the tartans, the accents, the land (I want to go back!), the bagpipes and shortbread. I can’t say I like the haggis though! lol
I’ve always loved the Scottish and Irish as both are in my family. Love the way they talk and are very loyal to each other. Love the kilts and also the sword fighting.
A very proud people, love their accents and all they stand for.
Like the food but really love the kilts.
The music…and the love of the land. Not sure how to put it and I have never been there but that is a part of my heritage that I love. My family were all storytellers and had a very earthy and impish sense of humor. I imagine that it comes from the Scottish side…but we are also Irish…so could be from there, also.

I love the accents and the plaids. I am almost finished reading this book. I love how each author captured the flavor of Scotland.
Definitely the accent.
First of all, the bagpipes, then the shortbread, the tartans (two of which I can claim), Scottish eggs…..
I love the accents and the dialogue. The kilts are also cool.
Tartans, bagpipes, their accent but I most admire the stubborn Scottish resistance to lose their culture despite devastating defeats. I am proud to include Scottish members in my family tree.
I Love the Castles, the fiction books about Scottish Heroes, the sound of the bagpipes, I think Scotland is a Beautiful place.Thank you for the chance. The necklace is Beautiful.
I love the tartans. The plaids are so beautiful. The cross is something I would be proud to wear.
I love the accent and pride in the heritage.
I love everything Scottish (except for haggis)! My maternal grandmother ‘s family was/is from Scotland (there are still relatives living there, yeah!).
The fierce independence of the people, the strong heritage and traditions that continue on. My daughter has been fortunate to visit Scotland twice. As she described it being there was like returning to a long lost home, which in a way it was with the strong Celtic background she inherited from both her Dad and I. Would love to gift her this beautiful cross.
The whole Highlander mythos, tartans, kilts and SHORTBREAD!
I like the kilts and the accent but I also like the tea.
I love the music, the tartans, and also the scenery.
The bagpipes – and Scotish mythology, including the legend of the phantom pipers that vanish into thin air. And the fairies who live in the caves. Can’t wait to read THE HIGHLANDERS!
Bagpipes.
I always think of the scene in Rosamunde Pilcher’s Coming Home when the Sihk bagpipes greet the returning POWs from the Japanese death camps.
The culture the history told through generations the music. I am of Irish descent but am an avid hunter of all things Celtic
The accent! And of course Ewan McGregor. 🙂
I’m a big fan of the tartans and the traditions! Our family had it’s own tartan at one point, and although it was disgusting, it reminds me of where I come from.
I love the landscape and the music, particularly bagpipes.
Fairisle Jersey patterns. So intricate, and I used to knit them for my children.
I love the castles, the beautiful lands, their accents and I love Craig Ferguson!
I love all things Scottish.
The Scottish have a rich heritage.
The loyalty of the clans, the music and the scenery. Beautiful necklace, thank you for offering it to one of your followers. Hope it’s me…LOL!
