I’m so glad you like it! My publishers are the ones to thank. They had the vision. 🙂

I like the new cover a lot! It reflects the Chicago setting where most of the story takes place. It also adds a different touch of glamour which the main character is exposed to when she moves to the big city. It is such a good story and I love reading about the Jazz age with its challenges of changing social mores. Good job!

Thanks, Jennifer. I must say, it does fit in better with other books in the genre.

I love the first one more – but cover or no cover, it’s a wonderful book!

I’m a fan of the original cover. It seems to reflect more of the roaring 20’s flair and the coffee cup in her hand relates well to the title.

I like the original, too. But I understand that bright, cartoon-y style of illustration signals “cozy mystery,” not “historical romance.” Who knew? 🙂 I think readers now will understand better what type of story they’re getting. It certainly fits in better with the rest of the books in the Smitten line.

I also am a fan of the original cover. Truly, both of your books in this series (?) have wonderful covers, and it was the covers and the titles that drew me to both of them. And I loved both of them, too! I grew up in Chicago, so I could identify with many of the city references, etc. Keep those great books coming!

Thanks so much, Vivian. I’m working on Helen’s story now. More details on that as they become clearer. 🙂
